Warren Bradbury

Warren was born in Yakima WA and moved to the Seattle area when he was 7 and then to Edmonds when he was 9. He graduated from Edmonds High school in 1956 which was the last class to graduate from this historic high school.  The building now houses the Edmonds Center for the Arts.  Warren never moved away from Edmonds.

Warren developed an interest in the Bradbury TV and Appliance business when he was in high school.  He received a business degree from University of Washington and then worked with his father for many years in the business. He was very active in the Jr. Chamber of Commerce during this time. Later he joined Rotary, encouraged by his Rotarian Father.  Through the years, the store occupied a number of sites in Edmonds, including the space at fifth and Main that is now Starbucks.  The store was eventually was located on Edmonds Way.  When his father died, Warren took over the business, then Bradbury's TV Sales and Service.

Warren never married but has a close relationship with his niece and nephew and their children.   Warren's passions include lighthouses and photography.  He enjoys photographing older buildings especially those with having historical architectural features. He loves car shows and always arises early so he can photograph the variety of cars at the Edmonds Car show.

Warren has been a Rotarian since 1974 and immediately became involved with the workings of the club.  He chaired the Scholarship committee for 33 years and took a personal interest in the students. He has detailed records for the scholarship students.  He was passionate about attending the awards ceremonies honoring many scholars in the local high schools.

Other passions include taking courses at Creative Retirement Institute, Forties music, and his cat chipper.  He no longer owns a car and has become a master of the bus system, including often taking the bus to downtown Seattle to enjoy pops' concerts at Benaroya Hall.
