Minutes of the special Board of Directors meeting of October 5, 2004

 In attendance were Carol Kinney, Kathy Dahlstrom, Pam Halsan, Vern Chase, Joan Longstaff, Larry Throndsen, Mike Kealy, Rod Norman, Elizabeth Crouch, Alex Hopkins, and Don Henderson. 

Vern addressed the issue of where we are handling items allocated in previous budget years but not yet spent. 

There were several questions on individual items appearing on the budget spreadsheet that Mike Meeks sent out.  Larry set a net target for the auction 2005 for $17,000 to $20,000.  Vern stated that the club contribution to the Centennial Project will probably be 50% in 2004-05 and 50% in 2005-06.  The Port of Edmonds weather station project is going to come to fruition this year.  This is a previous commitment of the club.  Joan asked to include $5,000 spread over the next two years to the Edmonds Centre for the Performing Arts.  Carol reported that Fiji and Bangladesh projects are out.  Scholarship amounts are going to be increased this year.

It was agreed that Elizabeth needs to work  with Mike Meeks to get comfortable with the budget figures and email her budget to all the board for approval at the next board meeting.
