International Service:
We will defer the report on International Service when Carol & Meena get back.
Community Service:
Pat & Rod are continuing work on the formation of the Guardian ad litem scholarship program. Rod is signing up to be a guardian ad litem. They are looking for another word rather than Scholarship. There was discussion about Coats for Kids donation for this year.
Club Service:
We have a display case at the Library for the month of May. Alex is coordinating that with the Daybreakers Club.
Membership:
Jen Schauwecker sponsored by Carl Swenson , Ron Hilliard sponsored by Larry Throndsen, Jason Enneking sponsored by Carl Swenson were approved for potential membership by the Board.
Waterfront Festival:
The only sponsor so far has been Point Edwards. Several ideas for contacts were presented to Mike for cooperatively calling on for sponsorship. It was discussed that perhaps a professional sponsorship consultant would be advisable to contact and use. We need to have a deadline for sponsorship because of print media. Karen mentioned that we needed some banners on the main routes coming into Edmonds. Don promised to contact his dentist, Steve Martin re: a sign in his yard. Wade James Theatre, Edmonds Car Wash and Dave Page Realty were mentioned as possibilities for getting reader board coverage. We have received nothing further on the proposed contract from the Port of Edmonds.
Old Business:
The weather station is still up in the air as to design and date of construction, but the design is moving forward with participation from other groups including the Port of Edmonds itself.
New Business:
It was approved that Steve Saunders be granted a six month leave of absence.
Meeting was adjourned at 08:45am.
